Covid Response | Local Health Partnership (PHD KC Authority)

Crucial Covid-19 response partnership training continues with Government Provincial Health Department and MoH. Dr Rany attends the regular updates on treatment and nationwide-regional status.

Recently, Head of PHD, Dr Prak Vonn, reported the successful Covid19 PPE partnership with WAH and The Good Exchange on national news networks. The Good exchange raised over $18,000 in Singapore for the program, to purchase PPE/Personal Protective Equipment

Working closely together, the teams provided urgent supplies of protective equipment for the most vulnerable care-workers on frontline clinics in rural Kampong Chhnang, all within 48 hours of a special fund raising campaign on social media.

Protecting the protectors, partnering with Cambodia PHD, Team WAH helped distribute PPE and important sanitizing materials, also in short supply during the early months of the health crisis.

PPE is crucial for healthcare workers and other emergency first responders that put themselves at risk when they perform direct patient care and have prolonged, close direct contact with patients with possible or confirmed covid-19 infection.

PPE is specialized clothing or equipment worn by health care workers for their protection and to help prevent the spread of germs between patients. PPE includes, but is not limited to gloves, gowns/aprons, goggles or face shields, facemasks and respirators.
